The Activity Center, a seamless integration into the existing masterplan for Camp Aldersgate was generously funded by the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation. This new addition encompasses a versatile gymnasium designed to cater to a myriad of activities. By day, it serves as a hub for recreational pursuits, hosting various sports and games. Come evening, its functionality extends, providing ample space for diverse camp activities. Beyond its recreational role, the gymnasium serves as a sanctuary for campers who cannot tolerate certain weather conditions. Strategically positioned near the lake, it boasts an elevated deck, granting captivating vistas to those unable to access the waterfront directly or during unfavorable weather conditions. Innovatively incorporated into the design is an "outdoor classroom," nestled beneath the upper deck. Here, campers can gather on benches, equipped with water stations, as our staff imparts crucial lessons on water safety and canoeing techniques tailored to our picturesque lake setting.
