Outpatient Center
University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences
Little Rock, AR
The architectural vision behind the building not only anticipates future expansion of ambulatory services but also champions adaptability to the dynamic landscape of healthcare delivery. With a deliberate separation of primary public circulation from clinical functions, navigating the space becomes an immersive journey, guiding patients effortlessly. The design ethos emphasizes not just efficiency but an aesthetic allure, with standardized clinical layouts enabling operational agility while fostering a sense of grandeur. The introduction of public elevators seamlessly connects all levels, streamlining access and elevating convenience. Corridor connections to neighboring institutions like the Jones Eye Institute and the Arkansas Cancer Research Center maintain fluidity and synergy within the medical campus. Sensing the need for an enhanced patient experience, RPPY designed a bold new entrance, embracing both modernity and functionality. This dynamic gateway, seamlessly integrated with the patient corridor, serves as a visual anchor, enriching the architectural narrative and amplifying the clarity of the wayfinding system, setting a new standard for architectural excellence in healthcare design.
